Docs screenshots may show capture-harness sample values (for layout only). In production the modal shows the School ID, User ID, and temporary password returned by that create/admit call - treat those live numbers as the source of truth, not the sample IDs in the PNG.

Dialog appears when

Appears immediately after:

  1. Add staff (Teachers) creates a teacher login, or
  2. Create user (Staff & users) creates a staff portal user, or
  3. Admit / Admit student finishes and issues a learner portal login.

Title in the product: Account credentials. Hint text states that School ID and User ID are for ID-based login and that the temporary password is shown only once.

Steps

  1. Complete Add staff, Create user, or the admit wizard until save succeeds.
  2. When Account credentials opens, read the labeled rows for School ID, User ID, and Temporary password.
  3. Click Copy all (or Copy on a single row) to put the values on the clipboard, then hand them over.
  4. Click Close when finished. The person signs in with School ID + User ID and must change the temporary password on first login (First login).
  5. Do not reopen this dialog later - there is no "show password again" path.

Fields and actions

  • School ID (row + Copy)
  • User ID (row + Copy)
  • Temporary password (highlighted row + Copy)
  • Hint: password is shown once; change required on first login
  • Copy all (copies every visible credential line)
  • Close (dismisses without requiring another copy)

Common mistakes

  • Closing without recording the temporary password - it cannot be retrieved
  • Treating screenshot sample IDs (docs harness) as real school credentials
  • Giving Teacher ID, admission number, or email instead of User ID
  • Skipping first-login password change after handover
